January 2, 2008 -Joe Overlease Named Director of Missouri Pet Breeders Association
Missouri Pet Breeders Association the largest and most prestigious Breeder Association in the United
States named Joe Overlease to serve as director. The MPBA serves over 2500 breeders through it's network of
breeder clubs in the State of Missouri.
July 7, 2006 - C & J Cockers launches owners forum on YahooGroups.
The forum is intended for owners of C & J Cocker Spaniel puppies. Its purpose is to provide support for all owners of our puppies. We here at C & J Cockers monitor the forum on a regular basis, but we also encourage owners to share their experiences with each other as well.

February 21, 2005 - C&J Cocker's "Joe Overlease" named Breeder of the Year:
C&J Cocker's was named breeder of the year by the "Concerned Dog Breeders of the Ozarks" the CDBO is the oldest breeder clubs in the state of Missouri Being named Breeder of the year was a wonderful honor. I would like to thank all of the club members of the CDBO for their vote and recognition.
February 15, 2005 - "Blackie" Show Schedule Update.
We had "Blackie" take off for a few months to rest after a hard five months of shows. He ended his 6 month to 12 month puppy show schedule with (12) twelve wins and (4) four reserve Champion placements. We have started 2005 off very good in a new class and a tougher road schedule. So far he has two wins, Two Groups and one Reserve Champion. Go Blackie!
January 5, 2005 - Joe Overlease of C&J Cocker's Elected President of The CDBO.
Joe Overlease was re elected as President of the Concerned Dog Breeders of the Ozarks at the annual election of officers meeting. We will continue to try to move the club forward and increase membership by accepting only the very best breeders in the state. It is a wonderful honor to be allowed to continue to serve this wonderful organization.
September, 2004 - Show Update "Blackie".
For the month of September "Blackie" has showed in Kansas City, and Salina Kansas Dog shows. He placed reserve Champion in each of the Kansas City Shows and Won in Winners Dog in Salina all three shows. This week Blackie will be competing in the Purina Dog Show, close to St Louis MO. Go get em Blackie!
August 14, 2004 - "Blackie" Wins at Topeka.
CJS Coco's Blackie Charlie P, wins at the Topeka dog show. What a wonderful thing Blackie in only his second outing wins. Remember Blackie is only six months old and is still a puppy. More results and photos to follow.
August 3, 2004 - "Blackie's" AKC Show Debut.
CJS Coco's Blackie Charlie P, made his AKC show debut this past weekend. Entered in the competition was a very good field of Cocker Spaniels, making his first outing a very interesting and challenging job for a six month old puppy. Blackie handled by Linda Williams, strutted his stuff as if he owned the place, not giving the other Cockers a thought. At the end of the day Little Blackie finished in third place in each of the three shows for the weekend. Although we did not win... a third place finish is an excellent start for a first time out. Keep your eye on CJS Coco's Blackie Charlie P. His next showing is August 12th, Topeka Kansas.
July 30, 2004 - "Zipper" wins first place in Agility, Obedience and Confirmation.
Zipper, A Black Cocker Spaniel bred by C&J Cockers of Mount Vernon and owned by Tim & Sue Likens of Swanton NE Won all three events for his class at the Nebraska Fair. Zipper handled and trained by the Likens family Dominated the show with his performance. Congratulations "Zipper"
July 26, 2004 - Cherri's Creations formally launched.
"Cherri's Creations", Puppy clothing and accessories was formally launched. Cherri Overlease Co Owner of C&J Cocker's is well know in Missouri for her quilting and crafting skills will be offering several unique and innovative products designed for the discriminating puppy owner.
July 24, 2004 - Coco's Blackie Charlie Makes AKC Show Debut.
Blackie will start his formal competition July 31 in La Crosse Wisconsin. Good Luck Blackie!
June 18, 2004 - Joe Overlease selected as director for new AKC newsletter.
Joe Overlease co owner of C&J Cockers has been selected by the AKC to represent Breeders interests in a newly formed directors panel of a new AKC newsletter publication especially for breeders. Joe has many years experience breeding Cocker Spaniels and has owned and published national publications.
June 10, 2004 - C & J Cocker's Recognizes as Top Breeder.
C&J Cocker's is recognized as one of the top breeding kennels in the Midwest. Each year two kennels from over 800 kennels are selected for this honor. Kennels are rated on all aspects of kennel management. C&J Cocker's have an excellent reputation with the AKC, state and federal agencies for having excellent Cockers as well as top notch facilities.
May 2, 2004 - C & J Cocker's Puppies Featured in Video.
C&J Cocker's Cocker Spaniel puppies are featured in a new film production about Cocker Spaniel Puppies. The production company traveled over three hundred miles to film onsite at the C&J Cocker facility. The feature presentation is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2004 and publication will follow shortly there after.
January 3, 2004 - CDBO elected Joe Overlease as Club President.
Concerned Dog Breeders of the Ozarks elected Joe Overlease, Co-Owner of C&J Cockers as Club President. The CDBO, is one of the oldest and most prestigious dog breeder clubs in the state Missouri.
